    i've downloaded a avi clips which i can play on the divx playa but when i try to open with virtual dub it comes up with this message

    "couldn't locate decompressor for format dx50(unknown)

    requires a video for windows(VFW) compatiable codec to
    decompress video. direct show codecs suchas those used
    by windows media player, are not suitable"

    any idea where this codec is, as i've downloaded two vfw codecs but it still will not work..

    TRY VDUB 1.3 BUT TRY TO INSTALL divx 3.12 CODEC FIRST TO SEE IF THAT HELPS

    searched for divx 3.12 but could not locate, should this be 3.11
