    Hi,

I've had a DVD burner in my PC for about three months now. Ripping and burning DVDs is getting a little old. Besides, if a movie isn't worth buying why spend the time and money ripping it? Especially since most movies require 2 DVDRs to backup.

One of the reasons I bought the DVD burner was so that I could back up PS2 games but I don't how to solder (or have the tools) and I have no desire to use the "swap method" everytime I want to play a copy.

If I buy a mod chip that needs to be soldered, I can pay someone to do so, but I am looking for a modchip that will allow me to boot the backups without taking my machine apart.

Anybody have any reasonably priced suggestions?

  2. ahh well there are no mod chips developed for the PS2 without takeing ur PS2 apart...the only one that doest need soldering is the No-Solder Mod but that mod sucks...i suggest just get the new Magic 2 or the Messiah..those 2 are currently the best or wait until they develope a boot-disc like the PS-X-Change for the PSX

Thanks for the tip. The Messiah looks like eactly what I need.

Only problem is, I've only seen it on foreign sites. Are there any U.S. sellers? Who's the best and the cheapest to buy from?

Does anyone sell PS2s that are already modded with the Messiah mod chip?

P.S. Noticed your logo. What do you think of the upcoming Jim Lee run?

Yeah, I've heard about a Superman vs Batman movie but I don't remember where. WB is probably going to rush something out given the success of Spiderman.

I'm not really in to superhero comics (or movies) anymore, but when I was a kid, Jim Lee was my favorite artist. He's going to be doing a run on the Batman comic which should be really cool visually. I just thought you might have heard of him.

If God is kind and we are all lucky, the Superman vs. Batman movie will not be Superman vs. Batman, but The Dark Knight Returns. Please, please, I have been patient...I don't read comics anymore, but I remember when this wonderful book came out. This is the second best graphic novel EVER (first is of course The Watchmen). If you have no idea what I am talking about and you even used to read comics (or never did), go out and get one of these two books, you will not be disappointed. Sorry I know this is off topic, but I just couldn't resist...
    End of Line.

I don't want to go off on a rant here, but I agree with you on The Dark Knight Returns. It was quite simply one of the best comc stories ever. Frenk Miller literally reshaped the entire industry with this book. The Dark Knight Returns gave birth to the entire grim and gritty era of the 90s.

I haven't read it, but DC (and Frank Miller) just wrapped up a three book sequel to the Dark Knight Returns, it's called The Dark Knight Strikes Back (or DK3).

I always felt about Watchmen the way I felt about Kirby. Both were a little overrated.

    End of Line.
