Is there a way to view a half downloaded avi file? when i play it with power dvd or windows player i get an error file not supported. any ideas?

You need to copy the .dat file to another location and rename it to AVI. Then open it up in TMPGEnc and select preview (No sound)
Use the speed button to move faster
If it fails to load then you may have a codec missing.
For Vdub, use File > Load
but check the "Pop up extended open options"
Select "Re-derive key frames flags" -
Nope TMPGEnc crashes when i load it and Vdub gives me a new error "Invalid AVI file: Not a RIFF file" and its a .part file for edonkey. maybe it hasnt got enough data to play.

Try downloading DivFix and running on the dodgy AVI.
Note: There is an option to create a new repaired file, if this is not set then it'll overwrite, this is automatically done if you drag-and-drop onto the DivFix app.

Latest version should be 1.07
Works for me all the time :P
