    Question: is this new version better than the old 2.5 and will it work with DVD2SVCD like 2.5?

    Most of 2.64's improvements were to CCE's audio decoding, which isn't even possible to use on AMD systems. As far as video encoding quality, 2.5 is probably just as good as 2.64.

    2.64 does not support AVS input directly so no I don't believe any version of DVD2SVCD supports it, though you can manually use Link2 to frameserve your avisynth script.

    Bottom line is that if you have both 2.5 and 2.64 your probably better off just sticking with 2.5 until the new version of CCE is released later this year.

  3. the new cce-sp 2.64.01.10 does support avs directly like 2.50. you don't need link2 to use avs script. unfortunately the actual version of dvd2svcd does not suport it yet, but it will be supported.

    Yes and no. ccesp2.64.01.09 and newer support *.vdr and *.avs. The earlier versions of ccesp 2.64 do not.
