  1. Hello everyone. Recently I've been attempting to create VCDs out of some anime episodes on my computer. Using TMPGEnc; on the start up project wizard I chose Video-CD: NTSC Film, clicked next, on the following screen I selected my .avi file [Aspect ratio 1:1 (VGA)], clicked the next button three more times to proceed onto the encoding screen. Once I burned the file & played the VCD on my DVD player, I found that the top and bottom of the screen was getting cut off (which is serious, seeing that I'm trying to view an episode which relies on subtitles). I went back to TMPGEnc to try several different settings on the "Video Arrange Method", (Center, Center [Keep Aspect Ratio], Center [Custom Size], Full Screen, Full Screen [Keep Aspect Ratio], Full Screen [Keep Aspect Ratio 2], and No Margin [Keep Aspect Ratio]). I've wasted plenty of CDs on dealing with this problem, but nothing seems to work. The video may look fine on the computer, but on my television the text in the video gets cut off a bit. Could someone please aid me in this situation? Thank you.

P.S. My DVD player is an APEX AD-3201.

  2. I have same problem. The only solution is to use Center Custom size and reduce the video size until you can see the subtitles. I suggest 322x 220
