  1. Any suggestions? I have the plugin already and have been able to open others but just not this one. I need to convert the file from PAL to NTSC. Thanks.

Have you had TMPGEnc for more than 30 days? If not, what kind of error are you getting?

  3. I have the full version. It just says it cannot open and that the format may be unsupported.

Does the file run in any players? Or can you load it in VDub?
    Hello.

  5. Yeah sure. I can view it fine in windvd. It's too bad it doesn't look like that on my tv. Because it's PAL you get a kind of squished look. I just tried to open it in virtualdub right now but that didn't work.

You could try change the directshow reader priority and reopen it.
Or try install latest poweredvd and latest tmpgenc.
Or try use this method www.vcdhelp.com/mpeg2tovcd.htm

If it's an SVCD mpg you could frameserve it to TMPG via DVD2AVI. When you open your source clip, just tell it to show ALL.

  8. Thanks for the advice all. I actually tried frameserving it last night when I saw a user guide link somewhere. It's now in NTSC but but I noticed that the file is a little bigger and the quality isn't as good as the original PAL file. Is this what usually happens when you do this or am I doing something wrong? I did have it set at a CBR of 1675 kbps but that was the only way I could fit the 57 min. clip into one disc.
