  1. Hi, I was just wondering if anybody could shed some light on a couple of problems i have:

Just trying to get backin to a bit of ripping but,The dvd2svd prog I have wont load the avs file into cce for some reason when its time to encode, And when i click on the cce box to add file it doent recognise avs files nor pseudo avi files made with vfapi.

I have used that procedure before but since then I have reformated my drives. The other prob I have is that Windows media player wont play avi files on either XP pro or ME, i know there is some way to get around this because I have run avis and even pseudo avis before before i did the reformat.

    Any help appreciated..

  3. First of all, make sure your CCE is CCE SP 2.50. If it still doesn't work, I suggest you do it step by step by yourself. I never use DVD2SVCD because I have a very slow computer and I like to tweak here and there.

As for AVS files and vfapi AVI files and WM player, things might be very messy. Something in registry might be screwed up and it's very hard to restore it. But I don't think you need that anyway. If you need to preview AVS and vfapi avi files, you can do it with VirtualDub, which provides random access, timeline navigation, and lot of other useful info.

Be careful with Nimo's codec pack, it might screw things up and you never get it back.

    Good luck.
