    I re-encode the movie with CCE then use spruce-up to do a menu and create the vob files but is there a way to retain the original chapter points instead of having to manually set them in spruce-up.

    There is no way to import them, if that is what you mean. Just print the chapter times from the original DVD (using IFOEdit to show them in either the VIDEO_TS.IFO or the main movie VTS_XX_0.IFO). Then manually add them.

    Come on, don't be so lazy... this operation should only take you about 5-10 minutes, at best.

  3. This topic more or less belongs to the DVD rippings. Read the "guides" on DVD rippings. It mention about using a software to rip the chapter points out.

  4. yes chapter points can be ripped and loaded into some dvd authoring programs.....but u cant do it with spruce up...if u dont wanna spend a few minutes manually doing it u can use dvd maestro or another authoring program that lets u import chapter points. check out doom's guide
