I was trying to convert the audio of my avi to wav like i have done many times before with virtualdub but this time like usual i went into audi and changed to full processing mode but when i hit save wav it said "The requested audio compression is not compatible with th e input format. Check that the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format." what do i do?

    Audio > full processing mode
    Audio > conversion > 44.1khz
    SAVE WAV

    Else use
    Vdub AC3

    http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/virtualdub.html

You can also save it and convert later

    Audio > direct stream copy
    SAVE WAV

    I have the same problem.
When i look the file information in Vdub it shows unknown codec but 5 channel audio.
I can watch the movie without problems.
Only with the audio i´ve got problems when encoding with vdub and tmpg.

Unknown codec = Install the Nimo codec pack, and/or DivX 5.02

    Yep that's AC3

If your having problems with Vdub, download "Vdub AC3"

    http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/virtualdub.html

    Or save and convert later

    Audio > direct stream copy
    SAVE WAV

Make sure you install Nimo, it has the AC3 codec

When I try to save to wav in Vdub in Full Processing Mode the programm is not able to do it.
I´ve got the Nimo Codec Pack since the first release and update it every new version.
So this is the first movie i´ve got problems with.
When I save to wav with direct stream copy the wav play´s with to high speed. I think 4X.

So I will try Vdub AC3 ( my last hope )

    Maybe it works

OK, you can also use "headac3he" to convert the AC3

    http://darkav.de.vu

Reanme your WAV to .AC3 to use the above program, if Vdub AC3 don't work...
