Hi all,
I am new here and I hope i am not asking a dumb question but I have been using Dazzle Video Creato and basically downloading music videos from tv and ripping them. The average file size is about 50 mb for a 3 1/2 minute song but this seems rather high in comparison to other songs I have downloaded from winmx. Alot of the clips seem to be approx 10 mb per minute of video?? I can reduce the quality of the video when i rip to reduce the file size, but i really dont want to do that. Any advise would be appreciated.
Also, how do some of those other mpgs have such good quality w/ a low file size?

You seem to be capturing at a higher bitrate than what is needed...mpeg1 for VCD standard as about 10mb per minute of video. If you are capturing as AVi you can usally set the rates you want under whatever codec your capuring/ compressing with.
If you are capturing straight to mpg then you might want to look for bitrate settings in your software.....
Alternatly ...you can cpture at what ever high quality you want ...and convert or encode to VCD standard or less using TMPG, With good quality. -
Hi , i just checked my dazzle setuo config and it says my video bit rate
is 1536800 ?? and data rate is 262/kb
any ideas if i am not doing this right? -
Does it capture straight to an mpg file?? (I'm not real familar with dazzle product)
If so adjust the first one to 1150000 and second to 224...that VCD standard.
