Problems never end - plz help again

First let me tell you my system : P4 1,6Ghz, 512 MB, geForce 2MX/MX 400, sound blaster Live!, windows XP pro

So, I have installed in my PC the following programs : ffdshow, nimo-pack (codecs), VirtualDub and msdv204.exe (a DV codec to see DV avi files in VirtualDub, it works fine)...
BUT

but the programm i use for montage is Premier. And now, Premier seems to work more slowly... the monitor window freezes, and sometime the program crashes especially when I turn on my Camcorder !!!. It says (when ending) that MMSwitch.ax file has an error or something like this. Why is happenig this ? I was happy to make virtualdub to play DV avi files and now I'm in trouble again !!! any idea ???? plz help

uninstall the nimo codec pack...there are some directshow filters that interfere with some of the other directshow plugins.

also msdv204.exe is mainconcepts DV codec (i think i gave you the link to it doday). It is not freeware, and will have a logo on it until it is purchased from mainconcept (pretty good investment, imho)

How to uninstall this nemo pack ? I made the basic installation and there is no nemo pack in my programs or somewhere else. Should I install again whole the programm and then uninstall it ? (if it is intalled with all componets it creates a icon in start->programs menou of window with uninstall feature).

You think this is my problem ? nimo pack ? ... by the chance, the DV codec you told me works fine in VirtualDub, I have also find another DV codec from Canopus (something like this, it was with Main Concept DV codec) should I download it or not ? (I'm somehow a niewbie in all these codecs... I'm working on filmmaking and this digital things is really an abyss in which I have to swim )

yes, that is what i would do. The nimo codec pack is a very nice concept but sometimes it can interfere with other components in directshow

Also I want to ask you something.

The Main Concept DV codec gave me the chance to see dv avi files in VirtualDub. But I still canot capture. I have a DV Camcorder and I'm using firewire card. VirtualDub doesn't send me an error but it also doesn't capture. any solution ?

Also, when I have checked both DV-playack and Windows playback options in Premier , I can see perfect the video in my camcorder's LCD but in monitor window it is very "conclusive" (don't know the english terminology). Any idea ?

virtualdub can not capture dv through firewire , please refer to this
