I encoded a dvd ripped movie into a vcd using TmpegEnc but the final file size ended up being 830 mb. I want to try and fit this movie into 1 cd...i really do not want to split the movie into 2 parts. Nero says I can't fit it into a 700mb/80 min cd so is there a way to encode this movie into an mpeg file so it will fit into 1 cd without losing the quality? Is xvcd an option and if so can someone explain the steps for hot to create one? Thanks for any help........![]()

Standard size without going to overburn is 814 MB, so you are very close.
Probably to big for overburn but worth a try, also try 90 minute CDR. Easiest way would be to lower audio bitrate, or re-encode MPG with slightly lower bitrate. -
Bout the only way to get it on 80min CD is to re-encode as a xVCD (nonstandard VCD) Get an unlocked template or download somebody elses tweaked ones from tool section here. Then lower audio bit rate to 96kb and video to around 1100kb or little less. That will take as long to encode as the original did......
Or quick and dirty....if you can lose 3 probly 4 minutes of video...by cuting begining and end credits without affecting video...that would probly make it fit also.
