  1. I have come across another problem,i have austin powers on svcd, but if i want to copy it-i need to extract it using say cdr-win.But how can i get it from a bin+cue file to mpeg, cause i need to change the header to vcd?!?
Or is there another method of ripping it from disk straight to mpeg?

Sometimes i can copy it onto my HD,but others are a problem?

    Cheers for any help

Use VCDGear to get the MPG from a Nero image or bin/cue!

  3. I've had similar problems copying the .dat file from VCD or SVCD disks and no end of imaging / extracting etc helps - I still got "Error copying £$£%% I/O error" or some similar problem.

On analysing the disk format they all contain burning errors towards the end of the CD but these do not prevent normal playback.

I now use DVTool available from http://www.musclesoft.de/combatman/software/dvtool.html and use the File Processor > Clone File to copy it to HD. The operation does stall in the same place and you have to cancel to finish the operation. What your left with is a file with the last few bytes missing. Sometimes this file won't play or be usable for burning but running it through the simple multiplex in tmpg with the correct stream type selected always solves that.

    Crude but effective.

For extracting all sorts of cue/bin/iso/img type files you might want to try Isobuster available from http://www.isobuster.com.
