I think about buying my first video capture card and the choise will be among studio dv, studio dv plus and dv 200. As there is considerable difference in price, here are my questions :
1) If I have correctly understood studio dv has not analog output, in comparison to studio dv plus, which has. As my camcorder is a sony PC100 do I really need an analog output ? I think that I can always output the edited file to dv tape and then record directly from the camcorder to the VHS.
2) If I have correctly understood studio dv has not output to mpeg2, in comparison to studio dv plus, which has. Is this hardware output to mpeg2 necessary or I can always convert my files to mpeg2 through software, in order to create a svcd to see on my dvd player ?
3) DV 200 offers Adobe Premiere 6.0 Full edition for free. The problem is that my equipment is relatively old... PIII-450, 128 Mb RAM (100), 12 Mb HD. Is this enough or should I invest first in hardware and then in a software like Premiere ? Will it run or not with this configuration ?
Thanks in advance.
