I have an AVI file that I can play in Windows Media Player, but that won't load into TMPGEnc. I've re-installed both DivX Codecs, and changed the priority of the AVI VFW Reader, but to no avail.
How can I find out what compression is used on the AVI file?
Cheers in advance,
LittleCharva

You installed "Both" codec's ? there is more than 2, download and install the Nimo Codec Pack and that should cure the problem. There are a few other codec's about, like www.divx.com DivX 5.02 but mainly Nimo has all the rest.

Load AVI into Vdub and select file > file information to see the video and audio codec's that are used
