  1. My DVD player won't play CD-R VCDs. I only have CD-R drive. Can I use my CD-R drive to write to a CD-RW disk, or do I have to use a CD-RW drive to get my DVD player to read it? I have a Toshiba SD1200 DVD player BTW. Thanks.

  2. To write on a CDRW media, you must have a CDRW burner, a regular CDR burner will not be able to handle CDRW media as far as I know, either way, it won't be able to format or delete contents on an existing CDRW disc.

As for your DVD Player, I suggest you check the DVD Players list under OTHER, and see what other users say about it.
