I already have an AGP video card and would like to add a capture card for capturing from DVD, DV, VHS, etc. Should I replace the AGP card with an all-in-one video card with capturing or add another capture-only card? What are the pros anc cons? What are the best choices? Thanks.

What are you going to do with the captured files ? If you're going to make vcd,my favourite : http://steve.kittelsen.com/pv231/

VCD probably will be the final format but is there any difference if the final format is going be say DVD?

The card only captures in .mpeg (1)
You need .mpeg 2 in order to make DVD
But this pv231 is totally worth it and it's very cheap (last time I bought is about $80)
And it even beat (sadly) my $800 Broadway card
