  1. I got film song vcds and I don't want to copy the entire vcd. Instead, I want to select the songs (tracks) from 2 or 3 vcds and to copy it in one vcd, which must be playable in vcd players. The vcds are in vcd 2 format. I don't know much technical things and can anyone help me to do this? Thanks.

You don't know about TMPGEnc ?, then you need to

    Download it... http://www.tmpgenc.net/

Then insert one of your VCD's, copy the .dat file from it to your hard drive, it will be better to work with them this way rather that direct from the CD.

Now that you have the .dat file on your hard drive, load TMPGEnc and select File > Mpeg tools > Merge & Cut

Change the drop down arrow to MPEG 1 Video CD

Click the ADD button, in the file types change it to ALL Files (*.*) and browse and select the .dat file you copied to your hard drive

Next highlight the file that's in the white box and click Edit

Using the source range { = start } = end select the start and end of the part you want, and click OK

Use the Browse in the output, and select a location, and type in a name

    Now Click Run

This will now make a mpeg 1 of the movie part you want, do the same for all the others you want.

When you have all the parts, you can either drop them into your authoring program one after another, or go back to TMPGEnc and select the Merge and cut again, this time drop all the files in by using the ADD.

TMPGEnc will join them all together for you.
