  1. Hi,

i'm searching for a graphics card which is able to render in realtime to the Firewire-port. For example: Pic a video-file and play (convert) it in realtime to the Firewire-port without using Video-Editing Software.

Is something like this possible or available?

Hi. Felt here as I’m looking for something similar, or a virtual driver that would emulate a second monitor, encode it thru software then pipe it thru the FireWire port of the pc.

I’m looking to record some vhs tape from the computer without a tv out. I have a dvd recorder that has a dv input which can translate dv to composite in real-time.. but i would like to be able to skip the pre encoding in dv format the files I wish to put on tape.

Lots of old cheap graphics cards have s-video and composite out.

Long ago Matrox had the best composite and s-video output. Also, there are lots of inexpensive HDMI to s-video/composite converter boxes. I can't vouch for their quality.
