  4. It could also be chip overheating...how is the cooling in your rig? If your fans ARE running try the same thing with the case lid off.....see what happens. My computer used to freeze like that until I replaced my chip fan.

Also try frameserving to CCE with Avisynth and VFAPI.

You should not frameserve with Premiere unless you actually need to edit/render with Premiere, otherwise you will be losing like %80 of your speed.

If you need to frameserve than use avisynth, there is simply nothing better.

Are you sure your CPU is properly cooled? CCE will definitely use %100 of your processing power if you let it so if your CPU is not completely stable then you will crash. Install a pc monitor and see how hot your pc gets while encoding.

There are several issues that you must address with cce, especially on AMD chips. Read the DVD2SVCD faq forum at www.doom9.net. All of these issues are extremely easy to get around but if you simply load a file into CCE without reading about these issues then you will surely crash the program everytime.

You may want to just use CCE through DVD2SVCD to simplify the process, that is until you get the hang of it yourself.

  7. yes my system is properly cooled, im using the AMD certified cpu fan that came with the chip. also, my computer doesnt freeze at all its just CCE. It just stops. Im runnin Athlon XP 1800 - Windows XP Professional. I will try that AVIsynth and see how it goes from there.

Give Tmpgenc a try........maybe its a little slower, but quality is comparable to CCE(some would argue better & it works every time.

    Cheers

Los11 read the DVD2SVCD faq where it applies to CCE. If you follow those precautions then CCE will be just as stable as TMPGenc.
