Started watching a movie that i had burned as a VCD, quality was not great, this could be down to me burning as NSTC rather than PAL!
First VCD was ok, got near the end of the film and the whole thing started freezing and restarting, green squares started appearing, clearing and then the film generally kept going into little squares, had to give up in the end.
Any ideas?

It's defenetly not PAL or NTSC problem, sounds alot like bad ripping to me, especialy with the green blocks you mentioned.

Same thing happen to me the other day (green blocks, movie stopped near the end). I thought it was a bad CD. But, i noticed smuges (finger prints) near the outer edge of the CD. After cleaning, it played fine.
CD's play from the inner edge to the outer edge.

Hi Wway,
First i'd like to thank you for all those lovely comments you said, they are very much appriciated, I admit the situation here isn't too good, for the last year since I got back from Australia to Israel I was too close to death with all the bombings, and now i'm also unemployed, which is why i'm not here much anymore, looking for a job is very time consuming.
As soon as everything straightens out in my life, i'll do my best to get back on the forum and also update the guide, as i've seen alot of new versions out there, i'm hoping the newbie's can still use the guide as is till the next update.
In the meantime thank you, and take care!Email me for faster replies!
