  1. Hi, i just bought my burner recently (a04) and tried to flash it to remove region settings (it gave me some sort of error message with weird characters and stuff), all my programs say its a pioneer 104 1.2 (i bought it OEM and it doesnt have pioneer written on it so it could be a 104, but it looks exactly the same as the a04 from pictures ive seen)

i can burn a data dvd fine using the software i got with the burner. however when i try and burn video i seem to have problems. For instance, the wizard in nero burning rom shades out the option for video dvd for some reason, spruceup gives me an error message when it gets to the part where it starts burning the project to the dvd (some sort of illegal address or something)

if ive stuffed up the drive with the flash i tried i woulda figured i couldnt even burn data? should i try and reflash it?

is it possible that my drive only supports data dvd and doesnt support video recording??

  2. Mine does the same thing in that Nero doesn't show that option as available. Think its just a glitch in Nero.

  4. Are you using the latest version of NERO (v5.5.9.0)? Make sure you are using the last DVD template from the wizard - DVD-ROM(UDF/ISO). And don't forget to create the VIDEO_TS folder and copy all the proper files in there.
