Help,
I have VCD bin image that is 80:10:71, 360821 blocks = 816,049MB in my file manager but VCD easy says its 796MB. When I try to burn the image I created in VCD easy in NERO, NERO says this file will not fit on the medium (80min, 700MB disk) in the drive every time. YES I have overburn turned on in the advanced settings. I also moved my limits to 99min in NERO. VCD easy will burn the image OK with overburn but NERO will not. How can I force NERO to burn whatever I choose?

To enable Overburning in Nero, do this:
File -> Preferences -> Expert Features = Enable overburn 'disc-at-once'....Email me for faster replies!

I wrote that I have overburn turned ON in NERO - it still will not let me burn anything I want. unfortunately 99min CDR's show up as 80min in NERO so it wont let me burn.

99min CDs generally show up as 80min CDs as that is the information they generally present.
If you have a drive (plus software that will support it), it doesn't matter.
Perhaps Nero simply can't with your particular drive. What version are you using and what is your model of your drive?

Yup, I perfectly agree with vitualis, it depends on both the software and your drive, and it's possible your drive doesn't support the overburn under Nero.
The ONLY drive I came across that actually identified 90/99 min CDR's in the size they are supposed to be is my old Sanyo BP1400, even my AOpen 3248 recognises them as 80min CDR, even though it burns then to the full capacityEmail me for faster replies!

I have a new Plextor 40x RW drive model PX-W4012A. Im running Nero 5.5.8.0 I would hope I have all I need. Lately Nero has not been working well - My last burn I had a message saying 150 buffer underruns were avoided! This started happening with nero all of the sudden, used to be smooth as silk.
Somethings not right. VCD easy is smooth - never an issue and my aspi layer is installed just fine.

I know they are slower but thats why I stayed with my HP 9150b and 9500 burners 8x and 12x respectfully, because they see 99min. CD-R's all the way to 99min., I burn at 8x and not had a failure yet, burned maybe 100 of these. and they play in any APEX, Daewoo 5700-5800, Sampo 631CF of AKAI DVD Players. The newer HP's does not see and won't overburn these discs.

Maybe Nero just isn't happy! Have you tried uninstalling Nero, and re-installing it? That should do the trick...

i have the same problem. the file comes up as 794MB but it won't burn in NERO even though i have overburn enabled.
I also tried VCDEASy, but it won;t recognise my burner even though i have up2date apsi drivers installed. -
I dont have a problem with vcd easy - it will burn anything to the edge and then quit. its perfect. I just think nero is better for burning and avoiding errors. I did reinstall NERO but I get the same problem. Also I have a nero icon in the shortcut bar at the bottom of XP desktop and when i highlight it 2 nero burning roms come up in the popup hint thing. Why is that everything else just shows up once.
