    if I got a text file, how to add it to .dat file?

  2. The only way i know of adding text-file subtitles is with VirtualDub and the VobSub/TextSub filter plugin.

    I'm pretty sure this won't work with a .dat file. You'll probably have to convert the .dat to an .avi or .mpg - maybe use VCDgear to do that.

    What format is your text file? I think TextSub will take most common formats.

  4. the best program i've used to create subtitles so far is:

    SubRip: http://www.subrip.fr.st/

    (although I've only used it to rip subtitles from .vob's - I'm not sure if you can author your own from scratch with it)

    and a good program for editting all formats of subtitle files is:

    give them a try.


    PS. I think allenultra is trying to do chinese subtitles (according to his pm's) Does anyone know anything about this - 'cause I certianly don't!!
