  1. I have downloaded movies, used TMPGEnc to encode them in VCD format and burned them using NERO.

They work fine when played back on my PC.

Problem is, some (Monsters Inc, Jurassic Park III) play perfectly, others such as Ice Age and Scary Movie play for about 10 minutes then corrupt on my standalone player which is a pioneer NS-DV55.

Is there anything I can do to stop this happening? What am I doing wrong?

    thanks,
    g.

  2. If you are using the same cd-rw drive, the same media & the same authoring tools (nero) then try simply to defragment your hard-drive before you burn

  3. And that might work?

I'm actually getting a new 80Gb drive next week so I will wait till then and do a fresh install of eerything from OS upwards.

thanks for the suggestion - hopefully a new defragged drive will help.
