  1. Can someone please walk me through how add a video transition like page peel or page roll, etc. using this proggy? I've been trying to do this myself with my avi files but can't get it working. Thanks.

  2. I never thought I'd lay down the RTFM on someone, but it's actually pretty well laid out in Chapter 14 of the user manual (pages 267-269).

Given that the RTFM is completely useless in a post, I offer this for you (hopefully it helps):

For the two clips you want to transition, position them on the edit timeline so they overlap by a second or so. I generally have both clips on the same video track, but I'm sure you can create transitions for clips on different tracks as well. If your clips don't overlap you can simply drag one clip over the other to create the transition. Note the default transition is a simple cross-fade. To change the transition to something like a page-peel, locate the appropriate transition in the explorer (bottom left side of the main screen) and drag it onto the overlap area on the edit timeline. Vegas Video should pop open the option dialog box for the specified transition where you can set the details of the transition. Once you set your options you can click to position the playback mark just before the transition and click play to preview the effect. I have a pretty pokey machine (PIII 800) so for anything other than cross-fades I like to create a dynamic RAM preview to get the full effect.

    Hope that helps.
