  1. My tools include Adobe Premiere, CCE SP 2.62 and Nero.

I could really use some direction on how to make a file with CCE that Newo will accept for SVCD.

  2. Try this it works for me
    This what you need :
    bbmpeg,toolame,pulldown,cce,nero,virtualdub.
since most important is CCE the rest could be downloaded from vcdhelp.
Avi to Mpeg using CCE [switu]

    1.VirtualDub>Audio>full processing mode>conversion to 44.1>convert wav to mp2 file using toolame>
    toolame -b 128 -e -m s file.wav file.mp2(you can also use lame)
THIS PROCESS IN VirtualDub IT IS DONE AT THE SAME TIME.

    2.VirtualDub>Video>full processing mode>Filters,add filter,resize New width 480 New height 350(or 360)
Filter mode, Precise bicubic(A=-0.75) Expend frame and letter box image, F.W. 480, F.H. 480>ok,ok>
in VD go to File>Start frame server , start, Save in(remember u have to have "vdr" at the end you file,
so it could be film.vdr)>go to CCE> add (if does not show the file you just sav in VD write"**" and it will.
Encoding setting>Output files, just leave Video files check, the rest is uncheck,Video encoding mode
DO NOT USE VBR, i use CBR (when encoding avi to mpeg, when encoding dvd 2 mpeg i use vbr)
Video 1.2.5.6.7 boxes are check the rest uncheck>Quality settings 18 >Anti noise firter 3
    U start to encode.
3.To make sure it is svcd compliance we have to run pulldown>pulldown.exe file.mpv file.mp2
    4.BBmpeg>start Encoding>Settings>Gen. Settings don't change anything but Max size(Size of cd-r)
Program stream settings Check SVCD. that's all

  3. Switu:

    Thanks for the prompt response.

While I don't quite understand everything you said, I will do some reading before I come back with more questions.
