  1. i'm trying to reencode a VOB file with ReMPEG but at the time of start, it just say "Transcoding Susceful" , but the reencoding process , never starts.

    What's happening ?

i'm trying to copy a dvd of 4.8GB , and i have to reduce it only 100MB.

i don't know how can i quit some unecesary material without destroying the chapters structure.

Did you create a cfl file for your vob's? You need to shed 400MB,the actual capacity of a DVD-R is really 4.37GB.

  3. Make sure that you open the .ifo file of the main movie vob's (i.e. VTS_01_0.IFO) in IFOEDIT and then under the Tools menu choice select "Create ReMPEG2 cffl". This will create the file that ReMPEG2 needs to start the 1st part of the transcoding.

Start ReMPEG2 and open the .cffl file that you just created. This will create a new file .vinf that ReMPEG2 needs to do the transcoding. After this file has been created, the "Encode" button should be available. Set your Options correctly and start the transcoding.

  7. What are the contents of the .cffl file that you are using? How big (file size) is the .vinf file that was created by rempeg2?
