I have a Dazzzle DV Bridge and the programs Adobe Premire and DV Studio 7 are dropping frames at an incredible rate.

My copy of Iu_VCR doesn't driop any frames, however it doesn't record the audio.

How can I get audio with iuvcr. It's frustrating me all these programs I have and none can do their jobs.

    I have a 866mhz processor and 20 gig 5400rpm drive. This is a new problem, I don't know what's causing it.

I've defragged twice and I clean my processes and optimize my ram.

    Hi
I have only used this program once but.......
I had to manually enable the line-in audio via the speaker icon in the taskbar. After this it played and recorded sound fine. If u dont have the speaker icon in the taskbar goto control panel/sounds and audio devices then click on the option to place icon in taskbar. You may have to enable recording line-in too i'm not sure.
    Hope this helps

    Fozz

Nope, it still won't capture sound and Pinnacle/Adobe drops frames right and left.

    I can't capture anymore

You need to be sure your system is fast enough (something like a P-III at about 800Mhz or an AMD Athlong at min. 1Ghz), that you've got enough RAM (min. 256Mb - 133SDR), your disks needs to be fast (7200rpm at minimum ATA100) and the disk (at which you're capturing) needs to be at a seperate IDE-controller (so you shouldn't capturing at the same disk where your OS is installed - neither if it was in another partition and even not at the secondary port of that IDE-controller).

At your DV-Bridge there should be an Audio-out (L/R) connector, which you must connect seperately to the LineIn of your soundcard.

Keep in mind that it is known that the DV-bridge of Dazzle can cause problems. Mostly you only can capture a few minutes, keeping the audio synchronized.
You'll better contact your vendor about this problem!

The Canopus ADVC-1x0 (100/150) is a better alternative. It keeps the audio always synchronised.
Don't forget that your IEEE1394 adapter shouldn't conflict with DMA and IRQ with any device (no, not even share dma/irq's).

I've never had this problem before.

    Im tempted to re-install windows.

My dazzle has been a dream come true for me until now

Their's no audio out, it all goes through the firewire bus.
