I've tried to search for an awnser, but couldn't find anything useful.

  4. I used this program first to convert the subtitles; SRTtoSSA. Then I added the filter in VirtualDub called subtitler.
    Didn't change anything

Since your subtitles are now .ssa, why not load them into Sub Station Alpha, select all the subtitles, select Timing-->Shift times, then input the amount of time your subtitles are off? Then save, load them back into VDub's subtitling filter, and go from there?
    Hello.

  6. You might want to try subsync. When playing the movie in this prog, you can determine at what timing the first sentence begins. You take that time and then open sub station alpha. Now you choose insert script. A small window will popup. You select adjust timings and enter the timing you found in subsync. Should be ok then.
