    I am encoding an AVI that is 1:31 mins. At 1:04 I am getting an error that says Write error occured at address 00487156 of module TMPGEnc.exe with 0189 A000. So it has encoded 2/3 of the movie and then stops at this error point. Any suggestions?

    you probably have an error in your file. open your file in virtual dub: video>scan video stream for errors. if it finds any(and i'm sure it will) then: audio>direct stream copy,and: video>direct stream copy, then file>save as avi. your new copy should be error free and ready to encode.
