With a bitratecalculator you can calculate the neeeded bitrate for fitting a recording on a cdr(w).
However when you want to use a given bitrate, how do you calculate the resulting file, taking in account the lenght of the movie ?

Does not the project wizard in TMPGEnc calculate it?

size in MB = (audio_bitrate+video_bitrate)*(length_in_seconds)/(8*1024*1024)
A simple calculator will do.
