Burning .avi

I tried burning a .avi movie but after I drag the item it brings up this message
The file c:\blahblah-divx.avi is invalid need mpeg-2 which was encoded for super video cd

Analysis of file found:
stream encoding which is invalid for a video cd
no video
no audio

I have no idea what this means sombody help please!!!

Um you cant use Divx/avi files for VCD or SVCD files. What the msg is saying is that its not a Mpeg-2 formate (mpeg-2 SVCD setting) you need ot encode the Avi to mpeg 2 witht he setting in SVCD parameters. (I havent used Nero 5.5 much from the usall drag the encoded mpeg and burned but if there is some kind of auto encode thing i think i heard of a SVCD/mpeg 2 wouldnt be around for 5.5 cause mpeg-2 makers suck and didnt make it free anymore)
