  1. I have extrcated files with M2V and AC3 extensions and was trying to author and burn these. Spruce up will work but not in the trial version, and the only other one that I know of is DVD Maestro and apparently that cost a LOT of money.
Is there any other program out there that can do this.
I have a purchased MyDVD and that will do M2v & Wav files if I convert the AC3 to wav but from what I understand wav is two channell and AC3 is 5.1 so it would be good to be able to keep the 5.1 audio.
Will Nero burn m2v & ac3. I have tried but get an error.
    HELP PLEASE

  2. If you are using an AC3 decoder then by all means keep the AC3, if you just watching on a regular TV, then there's no harm in converting to WAV. Find a program called Headache....

Yes their is, if he keeps it AC3, he'll get morre video on the Disk.

I only use AC3 audio, I get like 4 hours on a disk. I also use Mpeg 1 VBR max 1865@352x240. But then again it's a tv capture and I don't have digital cable.

TMPG will multiplex them, but it won't multiplex them with MPEG 1 headers.

Scenarist will acept them, but it costs 39,000 dollars.

DVDit PE will acept them, I don't think DVDit SE will.

  5. I have purchased TMPGEnc plus and tried "Multiplexing" the M2v & AC3 files. It appeared to join them together but NO SOUND on playback.
Is there a way around this.

  6. Be here done this.
Ok Ac3 comes in more then one format there is ac3 @192kbps 256kbps 384kbps 448kbps and then theres DTS at 756kbps
just cause a file is AC3 dont make it DD5.1 dvd it pe will not work with ac3 over 256k i think it will down mix the file to ac3 to stereo 192k & in some cases it will not accept the ac3 file at all if the bit rate is too high.
Rixio vid pack 5 will do ac3 up to 384k but i have had mixed results with that program.
I have tryd many other DVD programs few work with ac3
If you are tring to copy DVD i would say use the IFO edit method that is listed in the dvd rip help.
If you have clips of movies that have ac3 & you just putn togater a bunca stuff you must use spruce up here is a hint you cant buy spruce up but you might stumble on a reg key
