I spent a week getting a good conversion of monsters inc. at the end I had 2 xvcd's of 700 mb
I checked the mpg's on my pc by viewing begin and end.. all great.
So i burn it, nero says I only use 600 mb of the 650.. great.. so i burn it.
I play it on my standalone player, the quality is great.. and then at about 35 minutes it goes from great to total crazy, weird green blocks, and hard strange sound and all goes just chaos, and a bit later i dont have any moving image at all..
and when i tried it with powerDVD the program just stops at that moment.
So.. the XVCD was fine, I used 600mb according to Nero 5.5, but then when playing it goes bizar at 35 minutes.. So i guess thats the bit where its actually at 650 real mb's and not at 650 vcd mb's.
how the f*** can this be???
I didnt overburn, i burned at low speed, the original was perfect.. and both PC and standalone got the same problem.
I used a 650MB/74MIN CD-RW from imation
does this mean altough it should handle 700mb or more that i can only put 650mb vcd (wich is like 450mb wehn loaded in nero)?????

Try using VCDImagerGUI ( http://www.vcdhelp.com/vcdimagergui.htm ), load the mpg into it and it will make a bin/cue. Then use CDRWin or NERO to burn the bin/cue.
Im willing to bet that your probalem goes away.
Why do I say that? Once my brother d/l'ed that steve-0 video and he used nero to burn it. It did the same thing you discribed. I then took the same mpg and loaded it into vcdimager(not gui) and what do you know......PERFECT.
Hope this helps ya out.
