  1. hi
im trying to record an avi to a vhs videoplayer.
i connected my radeaon ve to the vhs- no problem the picture is good.
for the sound i used my minicd minjack2rca cable to connect my speaker jack on the soundcard to my L/R sound inputs on my vcr.
the problem is the sound is low and distant.
how to dub the sound good?

Have you tried turning up the soundcard output volume through the icon in the System Tray?

  6. Do your PC speakers have a headphone socket? You might be able to boost the sound that way (as long as they are "active" that is).

Also make sure that the cable you are using is a stereo cable, some of the Y type of cables are mono but they split the sound into two channels.
Make sure that the sound card connector has two silver stripes on it not one.
