Nero header/footer question?

I burnt my first vcd thursday. Everything went well. I then, tried to burn another copy of the same one but this time I chose the setting in Nero to add a custom header/footer etc. on the disc. The preview looked fine also. Unfortunately the screen doesnt show up at all when I play the disc on my pc (havent tried to play it on a regualr dvd player but I am guessing it won't make a difference).

Are you refering to the "FILE/COMPILATION INFO/Menu" settings tab and what version of Nero are you using?

When I clicked on VCD within nero I went under the Menu tab and put a check in Enable Menu. Then I added some text as header and footer.

BTW this is on Nero 5590.

Do a test by burning two test discs:

(1) In the first, go to FILE/COMPILATION INFO/MENU and check "Enable Menu". Then enter your text and check "Preview first page" to make sure it looks as you envisioned. If so, then click "OK" and burn the disc (FILE/WRITE CD...).

(2) After burning the first disc, open that same project, deselect the "Enable Menu" option, click "OK", and burn another disc.

Try playing both these back on both your PC and set-top/standalone player and see if either work as expected. If not, jot as much feedback (errors, unexpected results, etc) as you can and post another note.
