  1. I have a ASF = 8mb, I convert it with TMPG to MPG = 45mb

    whaaaaaaat!! thats huge, I had it on default setting ( MPEG-1 320x240 30fps CBR 1150kbps, Layer-2 44100Hz 192kbps )

    is there any way to make the size smaller without losing the quality of the movie??

    If you want to make standard VCD you must use that size, abuot 10 MB /min. If you only want it as a mpg lower the video and audio bitrate, check www.kvcd.net for some tmpgenc templates that uses lower bitrates without affect the quality that much.
