All of the RNC tutorials start out with this line
I understand the rest of the tutorial but how do you get to step 1 ? I have a .VOB from OSEx. QT Pro will not load a VOB. So what comes before Step 1 ?Step 1 Start with high quality source from iMovie, Final Cut Pro, or Ripped DVD
Quicktime Pro
Export movie to your favorite codec (I use iDVD option from iMovie)
Open your movie, under edit, Enable Tracks... click video to off.
File -> Export: Sound to Wave , Save as movie.wav

You have to convert your .VOB to a Quicktime format (I use the Motion JPEG A codec at highest quality). You can use the MPEG-2 component available for Quicktime 6 Pro, or any other other freeware converters (MM2C is my favorite, for its deinterlacing feature; or MM2D). Since the freeware converters only transcode video, you'll need mAC3dec to decode the Dolby Digital stream, and Quicktime 5 Pro (or 6 Pro) to join the audio to the video before you can start with the RNC guides.

Have u got the Quicktime MPEG-2 player component?
But QT doesn't recognize VOBS. They are greyed out.
