    does anyone capture in mpeg1 formate at higher bitrate and make a non standard vcd there for cutting out the middle man *encoding* and have success. please let me know. thanks

    I do this all the time when I am capturing stuff for watching later. I tend not to do it for things I want to archive though......both high level MPEG and MPEG2 look really excellent with my AIW and MMC.
