  1. I was just trying to learn how to use Partition Magic 7 and I partitioned my primary hard disk as 6 GB (C drive ) and another 6 GB(H drive).

Now I am trying to remove this partition and make it as 1 Primary partition 12 gb. How do I do that ?

  2. PM7 has a wizard to merge partitions. It even leaves the content of the partition u want to get rid of inside a folder of your choice

I haven't used it for a while but if u need anything else just post it

    Oh and good luck

  3. I have tried that already . When I reboot my machine I got some error message. But still it has two partitions.

  4. What was the error message ?

If I had to deal with that kind of situation i'd copy all I could to the partition i wanted to keep. after that I'd just right click and delete the unwanted partition.

If u don't have enough space on the partition u want to keep...well in that case I'd either use RW discs or copy and resize the partitions acordingly.

for now this is as far as my imagination goes, anyone else know a diferent solution ?

There's always the hammer. I have a few, if anyone want to borrow them.

  6. LOL the good old hammer. Hammer V2.0 ? Similar to our dear Hammering mechanism is fdisk that could be used instead of Partition Magic. I don't like it much but it does the trick. Someone else would have to explain the procedure 'coz i honestly dunno :/

    Any other possible solutions ?

1555 internal file number does not match position

  8. my guess is something went wrong while you were creating the partitions. Merely resizing one of them might fix it (a long shot but a possibility)
