Hi there, you might be able to use a SCART adapter that is used for the PSX or PS2. If your in England you could try buying one in Maplins or Argos.

By the way do you have any other connectors on your VCR?

The S-video adaptor should change the other end to your VCR lead ?. Don't know what card you have, I was looking at some the other day that described them as having a adaptor lead. the output is both s-video and composite, by using the adaptor you should be connecting to the right pins, then the socket should be the same as your VCR ???

  5. Hi,

Unless you have one of those expensive SVHS recorders, you VCR will NOT except your SVHS signal. Most Graphiccards with tv-out com with a converter cable to change the SVHS signal to a Composite (Tulip (?) plug, the round ones like on the back of most stereo sets.) signal. Now what you need is that convertor cable, a composite video cable and one of those scart convertors which have the three input ports (yellow for video, red for right audio channel, white or black for left audio channel) and connect the tv-out cable to the yellow in-port. Then connect your soundcard to the other two inputs, and you should be ready to go.

If you still get the b&w screen, you should change the output signal of you tv-out. If you have a PAL Only TV en the output is set to NTSC the screen wil be b&w. This wil also happen the other way around.

Don't know why there is no sound, do you have a audio out on the card, or are you suppose to use the audio out from your sound card. That would also need to be fed into the Scart.

Black and while indicates your output is wrong for your VCR/TV if you have it set on PAL change to NTSC
