i authored a dvd (friends season 1, disc 1, NTSC) and ran ifoupdate to put them in the original DVD structure. now when i do HD playback it opens up to the copyright stills instead of the menu. how do i rip these stills?
i tried running ifoedit and opening VIDEO_TS.IFO and then went to "menu extras" but when i tried to rip it only gave me VOBID 1 (so i obviously can't strip that). i believe the copyright stills are PGCs in VTS_04, and if i don't include VTS_04 in my DVD it won't play. i also can't run "menu extras" on VTS_04_0.IFO because it causes ifoedit to crash.
how can i make it so it doesn't play the copyright stills when the dvd starts up? i'm not too concerned about actually stripping them, just so that they don't play when the dvd starts (although stripping them would be nice, too)

Download a copy of DVD2AVI. Open the movie VOBS and let it play, make note of the VOBID field. What you need to do is map the VOBIDs that belong to the main movie. Lets say that the FBI warning is VOBID "1". In IFOEdit remove the check from VOBID "1" when performing a strip. This should resolve your issue.
I hope I explained it corretly. Let me know if you need assistance with this.
