Sure it looks feature packed but i can't use them

1.)You cannot use DIVX, the only good quality codec I have on my system.

2.) I can't seem to cut files at a certain time

1.) You can use DivX and it works perfectly
2.) Use the "mark in" and "mark out" buttons

(The VDub is only showing a warning sign about using the divx codec, just click yes and proceed!)

I hate V-dub as well, other reasons (try capture with an ATI AIW Radeon with it sometime!)...

i have not used it to capture (although i am tempted using my ATI Rage Fury Pro), but i have used it for joining 2 files and it is perfect up to the exact frame.

I just started using it yesterday and I can do the divx encode even with the new ver 4 one. My impressions of it is that the filters suck and I have to fix everything it does in tmpgenc. Does anybody know of any other capture progs that are ofgood quality?

  7. Perhaps you are trying to do too much?

    1. You cannot capture and use most filters in real-time.
    2. Otherwise, Virtualdub captures video on a VFW compatible driver just fine.
    3. Also, the filters in virtualdub are very high quality.
    4. You can use DivX with VirtualDub just fine.
    5. You shouldn't be capturing in DivX if you want to encode with TMPGEnc anyway.

    Regards.
