  1. The avi file is 480 x 336, 20fps, DiVX, MPEG4-low motion. Works fine on Media Player
    I try and open with TMPGE to encode and it says the file cannot open or unsupported.
    I tried converting the audio first with Virtualdub and also used DivXfix to rebuild. But TMPGE still won't open it. Any help appreciated

    Try first to change the codec reader settings in TMPGEnc under Option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in and right click on the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and increase the priority to 1 or 2 and try open the video.
