Hi
Should I enable this??????
Will it make any difference to capturing files or am I just being thick?
Cheers

You don't want to use NTFS compression for your video work. You won't free much disk space because most of the time your video is in a format that's already compressed to some degree. Compression will also slow down file access because the OS will have to take the time to compress/decompress the data, since it's pretty much handled on the fly.
Compressing files that have nothing to do with video will be fine, compressing online documentation that you only refer to once in a while can sometimes save quite a lot of space. -
Plus it makes your CPU work harder scrunching and unscrunching.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
