  1. Hi,

I was trying to convert a DivX version of Return of the Jedi to MPEG 2 for DVD burning. Towards the end of the film (the part on the death star when luke is hiding from vader) the image completely disintegrated into this digital puke (best description ). It lasts for a few seconds then after it returns to normal the sound (which is in a sepaate PCM wav file) is about 5 secs ahead of the video. The encoder is set at 3000 CBR. here is a screenie of the problem:
[edit]Oh, and the original is fine[/edit]

  3. So it is a problem with the original Divx file? The problem didn't occur until after I ran it through TMPGEnc. or do I run the mpeg2 file through DivFix?

Mephij, VirtualDub can take out those bad frames like this:

    1. Open your video file.
    2. Under the audio tab, click on "Direct stream copy".
    3. Under the video tab, click on "Direct stream copy".

VirtualDub takes out the bad frames this way. Hope that helps!!!
