i have ripped some dvd's to my hard drive i rip the movie to vobs and the ac3 audio to a seperate file i re encode the video to 90% of the original size or whatever is required then multiplex the audio back into my video file, the video plays on power dvd but will not fast forward the sound and everything is ok, i try to import it into spruce up but fully imports it or gets to 99% and sticks with no video in the import box, i tried just importing the video befor i mux them and it imports ok so i changed the audio from ac3 to mp2 keeping the 5.1 channels and high bitrate but it does the same i have even tried using dvd patcher with the same file header settings just to correct and file header errors but to no avail, any help would be greatley appreciated thanks in advance Greg h

There's no need to remux them if importing to spruce. Give the ac3 filename the same name (different extensions obviously) as the video. Import the video, spruce will import the video, and then import the ac3. If the video works when imported demuxed, I would try doing it that way. I've had this problem with spruce occasionally, cutting off a few frames at the end of the movie sometimes helps as well.

thanks that done the trick and let me find the reason why it done it, it was because of a bad frame in the ac3 file structure right at the end, now it lets me ignore it...
