Nero, SVCD, problems with thumbnail menu

1. Whenever I try to create SVCD menu in Nero 5.5.5.3 for 16 videoclips (2x8 thumbnails), always when played, in menu page appears small green rectangle at the bottom of page. I tried to reinstall nero, after that, even worse - the rectangle appeared also in second menu page. In nero in preview, there is none, but it appears in PowerDVD. Does anybody knows anything about it ?

2. Has the SVCD menu the same behavior as DVD menu ? The menu appears only after start of PowerDVD. When I start playing, there's no way back, the Menu button is disabled ...

3. It seems to me that the menu is somewhat replayed every few seconds. In that moment the mouse doesnt respond. I must wait until the cursor restores it's normal shape a then I am able to switch to another menu page or start to play. I have infinite pause between menus and 2 secs pause between tracks. Is it normal ?

Nero made menus are not representative of what you can achieve with VCD menus. Furthermore, Nero incorrectly authors its still menus and they don't work properly on many software players and even some hardware players.

I suggest you use another program if you are interested in making menus for VCDs.

I had the same problem, and it was not at all consistent. Found that limiting the menu to one page, and adding menu page only after putting the other files on the rack, seemed to help. Good luck!
