I'm trying to copy DVD to DVD using primoDVD 2.0. The disc is a DVD-5 so I know thats not the problem. I did a disc to disc and it was working fun then just came up with an error.
I then went to do it again and it said I need to put an image on my HD cause of drive speed issues. So I checked the box and started again but it keeps throwing up this:
disc copy terminated with errors
command:28 sense:03 ASG :11 ASCQ :05
Oh and when I played the disc that failed the first time it plays fine up until the cut off point then thats it cause less than 100% was transfered.
Also if I dont have a win2000 compatible DVD decoder installed will that matter? I'm not trying to view the movie just copy it from one dvd to another. I am using an external LaCIE DVD writer to write to from my internal DVD drive.
Thanks.

try ripping the whole disc with smartripper to a VIDEO_TS folder on your hdd make an empty AUDIO_TS folder, then select Data Disc copy in Primo, and burn both folders to your disc, assuming the dvd you are trying to back up is 4.37 gigs or less

Ok thanks for that. I ended up doing it on my mac with toast but thanks anyway I'll try that too.
